Suggestions and Substitutions for This Dip
This is where the fun starts!
Nick Evans
Once you spread the whipped goat cheese into your serving dish, you get to addall the toppings.
(Almost any dried fruit would do just fine!)
I used pistachios, but walnuts or pecans would also work.
Nick Evans
You could also use agave syrup in place of the honey.
You could also use crunchy vegetables like strips of carrots or celery.
If you plan to add herbs to the dip, hold off adding them until right before serving.
Nick Evans
Herbs like chives will brown slightly in the fridge if the dip is made too far in advance.
This helps prevent the pistachios from flying all over the place.
The finished dip should be easily spreadable with a knife.
It shouldnt be more than 1/2-inch thick in any part of the dip.
Keep covered in the fridge until ready to eat, then serve with pita chips.
This dip can be easily made 2 to 3 days in advance and keeps well in the fridge.
If you make it in advance, wait to add the honey and chives until right before serving.
