One of the first recipes I discovered and then made was her boozy balls.

This recipe was originally for creme de menthe bonbons from her friend Judy Kowalski.

Nancy took the plate out of her reach and told her she couldnt have anymore.

But they make my tummy happy, Colleen implored her mom.

Grannys boozy balls make my tummy happy, too.

And they are quite boozy.

After mixing all the ingredients together, I let the mixture chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Then, with clean and slightly damp hands, I roll them into balls the size of quarters.

If Im dipping them in chocolate ganache, I freeze them first.

Pulse until fine crumbs form.

The texture should be sticky yet pliable.

Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Simple Tip!

If the mixture seems too runny, add more cookie crumbs or powdered sugar by the tablespoon.

It should resemble cookie dough.

Using clean and slightly damp hands, roll into balls the size of quarters.

Refrigerate shaped balls for 30 more minutes, then roll in the topping or toppings of your choice.

Dip the balls into the chocolate ganache and chill.
