Trisha Yearwood’s cowboy lasagna can satisfy even the hungriest of cowboys and cowgirls.
Cowboy lasagna is more than just a clever name.
Its a lasagna packed with pizza flavor.

What is cowboy lasagna?

Add the ground beef and sausage.
Stir frequently to ensure even browning.
In a large bowl, combine the water, diced tomatoes and tomato paste.
Add the mixture to the pan along with the oregano, salt, pepper, garlic and onion.
Bring to a simmer and cook uncovered for 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
In the meantime, preheat the oven to 350F.
Drain and set aside.
When the mixture is ready, spray a deep 139-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Spread one third of the sauce in an even layer over the bottom of the dish.
Top with lasagna noodles, then one third of each of the ricotta, mozzarella and parmesan.
Top with one additional layer of sauce, noodles and cheeses.
Bake in the center of the oven, uncovered, for approximately 40 to 45 minutes.
Allow the cowboy lasagna to rest for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
(The extra noodles are backup in case there are any mishaps with the noodles while preparing them.)
