You’ve got questions!
We’ve got answers!

This means you need fewer dried herbs than fresh when substituting one for the other.
A good rule of thumb is 1 tablespoon fresh herbs = 1 teaspoon dried herbs.
Some herbs season better than others in their dried form dill, thyme, and sage among them.

Dried parsley is a mere whisper of its former self.
When you might, its best to use fresh parsley and skip the dried version.
For the most part, dried herbs are an affordable and convenient way to add flavor to many dishes.
