After that, the lettuce starts to noticeably wilt.
Stick with shorter pastas like cavatappi, bowtie, or even elbow macaroni for the best pasta salad results.
Drain the pasta and rinse with cold water until its room temperature.

Whisk together the mayo, vinegar, Italian seasoning, and Dijon mustard in a large bowl.
