Let it sit for at least 15 minutes to marinate.
You could do this up to a day in advance and store the steak bites in the fridge.
Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
A drop of water in the skillet should sizzle and immediately evaporate.
Once hot, add the steak bites.
Stir the bites and continue to cook for another 2 minutes until they reach desired doneness.
I prefer mine with a tiny bit of pink in the middle, almost like a medium steak.
If you want them cooked all the way through, cook for another minute or two.
Add butter to the skillet and stir to coat the steak bites with butter.
Leftover steak bites keep well in the fridge for 4 to 5 days.
The skillet method will better preserve the texture of the steak bites.
Add a drizzle of olive oil to a small skillet over medium-low heat.
Smear two pieces of bread with a little mustard.
Add the bread, mustard side up, to the skillet to coat it with olive oil.
Add the second piece of bread to finish the sandwich.
